registernowbutton2Learn new skills in a supportive and confidence-inspiring environment on the Aptos pump track and the newly remodeled intermediate progression lines of the Aptos Post Office Jumps. IMIC-certified coaches Tammy Donahugh, Lisa Tharp, Gale Dahlager and Cortney Knudson will teach you jumping, pumping, railing berms, and tricks. Tackle table tops, hip jumps, step-up jumps and the Sugar gap jump with confidence and ease. Put your new skills to the test and compete at the Sugar Showdown Jump Competition (see below).

When:

  • Saturday, April 5   9am-2pm

Where: Aptos Pump Track and Aptos Post Office Jumps. Meet 20 minutes early at the Sweetlines booth near the pump track.

Who & How Much: On-line registration is open February 24 – April 3, 2014, 10pm. Register at the festival up to one hour before start time for available events, activities and clinics. Stop by the registration booth to check on availability.

  • $155 Women and Girls (All ages; minimum 1 year mountain biking experience required.)

Why: Because you want to learn mad skillz!

What if it rains? Heavy rain on the day of event may cause it to be cancelled. In case of cancellation, clinic participants will be refunded their fee minus a $5 processing charge.

The competition—open to all amateur and pro women—is a fun way for Sugar Showdown Skills Class participants and other amateur riders to push their limits to the next level, as well as an excellent opportunity to showcase top pros, inspiring women to follow their lead.

When:

  • Sunday, April 6  10am

Where: Aptos Post Office Jumps

  • $30 Women and Girls (All ages)
    Novice: table tops
    Amateur: table tops, hip & step-up jumps
    Pro: Amateur lines + Sugar gap jump

Why: Because you can! Cash payout for Pro; Prizes for all others.
