Lindsay Beth Currier, Coach
Sweetlines/Clif Bar MOUNTAIN BIKE SKILLS CLINIC
Lindsay Beth Currier is an incredibly passionate and determined 28 year old mountain biker from Granby, CT. In 2008, while recovering from extensive back surgery from a high-speed downhill bike crash in Santa Cruz, Lindsay founded Shine Riders Co. The company’s mission is to “illuminate and inspire rad female gravity mountain bikers” through online publications and women’s mountain bike events. After a long recovery, Lindsay got her cojones back at the Northstar Bike Park the summers of 2011 & 2010, where she faced her fears of risking re-injury while riding rocks, drops, and jumps. The once “retired” Cat 1 gravity racer, has a renewed desire to achieve her childhood dream of racing downhill professionally. Although not the most likely candidate physically to go to Worlds, Lindsay hopes that her wont-back-down attitude will inspire strength in other women (riders or not) and will continue to assist in gaining industry support for female coaches, athletes, and other event planners globally. IMIC certified, Lindsay will be coaching for Sweetlines and the Trek Dirt Series in addition to the many Shine Skills Clinics of 2013. Shine’s original female freeride event: Shine’s Queen of the MTN will return for its third year at a new location: Squaw Valley USA Sept 13-15, with the Tahoe Fat Tire Festival. Please checkout www.shineridersco.com and keep your eyes peeled for LBC and the rest of the Shine Gravity Race Team at the Pro GRT races and Sea Otter!
